The faces behind the standard

The Standard Cleaning Company was founded in January 2025 by Gates Shoemaker, whose experience in the cleaning industry began at an early age through his family business. While in college, Gates turned that experience into a company of his own—starting with residential cleaning before expanding into commercial and post-construction services throughout Chattanooga and the surrounding area.

Gates’ fiancée, Adi, joined the business early in its growth, working alongside him to manage accounts, building client relationships, and expanding the company. Today, the engaged couple leads The Standard Cleaning Company together with a hands-on approach and a commitment to reliability, attention to detail, and exceptional service.

Their mission is simple: to set a higher standard for commercial cleaning in the Chattanooga area—one client, one property, and one lasting relationship at a time.
